Job Description: Responsible for resolving customer issues and assuming all direct contact with the client until resolution is achieved. May often work directly with beta testing clients or Proof of Concept clients as primary support during these periods. Maintains and improves Knowledge base and training system.
Job Responsibilities
• Demonstrate deductive logic, complex problem solving and excellent trouble shooting skills
• Demonstrate self-motivation and ownership of assigned work
• Demonstrate a consistent sense of urgency and follow up on open issues to insure resolution
• Seek assistance to resolve problems when necessary
• Maintain technical knowledge of supported products through ongoing training
• Train clients’ technical staffs on maintaining the software after deployment
• May make on site visits for software installation, diagnosis and troubleshooting
• Communicate complex procedures or diverse information to resolve customer issues
• Consider the impact of the decisions he/she makes, or the solutions he/she recommends, on the client’s business operations
• Provide quality service by appropriate follow through, urgency and persistence
• Work exceptionally well with clients and the ability to solve problems creatively
• Learn new products, integrations and features
• Perform effectively and with confidence under high-pressure and challenging situations
• Write technical and functional documentations and present them to other team members and occasionally to management
• Work with the Quality Assurance team to develop and maintain unit tests based on product functional specifications when working on problems
• Enforce Technical Support Processes, and continuously improve them
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent education and/or work experience
• Technical knowledge and fundamental concepts of Windows, Linux, networks and hardware
• An advanced level of troubleshooting logic and technical ability
• Exceptional customer service and time management skills
• Experience with Operating System commands for Windows/Linux
• Experience with Oracle/SQL Server and basic SQL skills with proficiency in multiple platforms preferred but not required
• Minimum of 2+ years experience with current industry technologies such as Java, SQL, XML, HTML and related tools, and 3+ years general experience in supporting software products
• Able to work independently as well as with other members
• Should have a thorough understanding of software development processes and methodologies and knowledge of complete product development life cycle
• Must have excellent communication and writing skills, and experience in writing product specifications and technical procedures is highly preferred
• Strong English speaking and writing skills required
